Kaos
Born April 2014
Arrived at Mission:Wolf Winter 2026
Currently exploring his new enclosure with expanded access to other wolves for future-matching
Did you know? It takes $3,000 a year just to feed and care for one of the wolves. By giving $5 or more a month, you can take Wylder to dinner by becoming a Wolf Caretaker.
Kaos’s Story
When Kaos was 2 years old, he was adopted from the pet market by a private citizen who wanted to start her own wildlife refuge. She gave Kaos a spacious outdoor enclosure, and he had very little contact with humans or other canines.
When her living situation changed and she was no longer able to support Kaos, his owner reached out to Mission:Wolf for help. Considering that Mission:Wolf was looking for a suitable partner for our fresh 16 year old, Farah, we were able to take Kaos in. The striking white wolf-dog was frightened after his sudden rehousing, but he has been slowly stepping out of his shell as he gets used to his new wolf and human neighbors.
We hope Kaos will continue to have a calm and rewarding life here at Mission:Wolf, to be a lesson about the difficulties of starting a wolf sanctuary, and how even well-intentioned rescuers can encounter difficulties.
